Volunteers
Ever Thought of Volunteering??? Volunteers are the backbone of our organisation, some of which have become indispensible, and the majority of the clubs and services that we run just wouldn’t happen without them. However, after the summer, it will be time for some of them to move on to pasture new, and so we desperately require individuals to step forward and take their place. Volunteering for an organization such as CYP not only benefits the young people we work with, but it also hugely benefits the person volunteering. We offer free training to all volunteers over the course of the year, ranging from First aid, Food Hygiene right through to things like conflict resolution and Disability awareness. We provide constant help and support throughout your volunteer career and can also provide recognized qualifications through Youth Achievement awards and Volunteer Scotland. The majority of our current volunteer team say that by volunteering at CYP helped them tremendously in college and university interviews, improved their overall confidence in themselves, and made them overall better people.
“You’ve totally boosted my confidence and taught me to look at things from a different view”Quote from Emma Webster, one of our current volunteers
“An amazing experience which has benefitted me and the young people I have worked with. I would recommend it to anyone!” Quote from Ellen Haste, winner of the Young Volunteer of the Year Award 2009
If you feel that you have something to offer, or would be interested in finding out more about volunteering at the Callander Youth Project, please get in touch Craig at the CYP Office.
